• Sentenced state prisoners: search the Texas Department of Criminal Justice locator, not the county jail roster.

Court and Prosecutor Contacts

Jail booking details and court case filings are different records. The District Attorney's Office handles prosecution records and charging decisions, while Tyler PublicAccess, the District Clerk, and the County Clerk are the usual routes for case-file searches and filed court records.

Brazoria County also has several TDCJ state prisons, but those units do not use the county jail roster for sentenced prisoners. Search TDCJ by TDCJ number, SID number, or name. For federal sentenced custody, use BOP. For immigration detention, use ICE ODLS. VINELink Texas can be used for custody and release notifications where the system has matching data.

The Brazoria County Sheriff app is also listed in the Apple App Store and Google Play as a public-safety communication app with tips, navigation, public-safety information, and push notifications.
